Rudd's Rat Lab

We like the idea of a traditional art gallery, but we wanted ours more public, accessible, less elitist. We conducted an experiment to see if we can get art from an entire community. We asked for submissions from all ages, races, genders, etc... No part of the community was excluded from submitting or participating. We advertised in the student paper, used fliers, started a facebook event, and sent out emails to schools, and organizations. Our hope is that in making gallery space available to non-artists, they may perhaps grow more interested in other art events because they have been involved, and are no longer excluded.
